If I Stay Here (FGO Ryzi Still Stands)
Emiya was a newer Servant who was summoned after Singularity F using a catalyst found when the corrupted Archer was defeated. Everything seemed pretty cut and dry for the Counter Guardian: Humanity was incinerated and it is his job to help Chaldea reverse Humanity's Incineration, he thought that until he needed to babysit Gudako when she goes out to Ryzi to avoid another incident.
Emiya was confused by two things One: why does Ryzi seem to both exist and not exist at the same time in his memories and Two: what sort of God would willingly sacrifice everything for their Followers like this? (Emiya does not see the Irony in him of all people asking this.)
Everything was going normal until Emiya was transported into Ryzi and immediately felt ALAYA's attention focus on him with a focus he has never seen before and another Being's attention tiredly pass over him before doubling back and reads his history until it gets to where he makes a Deal with ALAYA and as soon as the Being sees what happens because of this Deal, Emiya feels his connection to ALAYA BURN.
ALAYA's ability to perceive let alone intervene in this Timeline was limited after Humanity was wiped from that Timeline's history but ALAYA tried their best to help this Chaldea by giving them access to some of their Counter Guardians. Alaya certainly wasn't expecting their Counter Guardian to find a large group of Humans hidden from their gaze by a bubble of Flames constantly burning around the wetland the plateaus the Humans reside on. The moment the Counter Guardian stepped foot in this bubble ALAYA was instantly alerted to the Humans existence but a God was alerted to her Counter Guardian and ALAYA by extension.
Normally ALAYA would put a God this weak in its place even if it was in the God's Domain but this God had a strange hint of Humanity to its Aura and more importantly the God was what was holding the Flames back from Incinerating these Humans. While ALAYA was trying to come to a consensus on what to do Psaras knew the God left into action after reading the Counter Guardians history.
Psaras in his constant torment could do little to help Emiya using his typical Domains but being Burned for all of Human History does grant someone a strong understanding of Fire and Emiya has a strong connection to Fire and Curses which Psaras uses to Burn the Contract between Emiya and ALAYA loosening ALAYA's control over Emiya.
This action caused ALAYA to try and punish Psaras but all Psaras did was manipulate a small tendril of Flame towards ALAYA which caused the Entity to back off against the Anti-Humanity weapon Psaras has almost unlimited access to. Psaras couldn't do much to defend himself but redirecting the Flames? Psaras has been doing that for as long as he can remember...
The two weakened Beings were at an impasse ALAYA: who doesn't want to share her Sword and Psaras: who thinks Emiya has been used by ALAYA enough. Without the Incineration of Humanity weakening ALAYA's influence on this Timeline Psaras would be beset by all manner of Counter Guardians while Psaras without being weakened by taking Ryzi's place in being burnt would seal ALAYA's ability to influence his Humans.
The two would eventually agree to a Ceasefire mainly due to the fact that this confrontation has made Psaras almost lose his concentration and the Flames almost slipped from his grasp, with the caveat that Emiya would have a looser leash from now on.
Emiya while he was BURNING saw a struggle between two Beings of once great power now diminished one that looks like a giant with countless constantly changing faces and the other a giant charred corpse that is in a constant state of Flames burning its healing flesh. After a few clashes the Corpse burns the chain connecting Emiya to the other Entity making Emiya feel like a huge weight has been lifted off of his back.
The two Entities seem to immediately stop their struggle when a spark of Flame jumps off the Corpse before he draws it back in leaving the two Entities to stare at each other before seeming to come to an agreement which causes only the Corpse to remain.
As Emiya is drawn closer to the Being his connection to the Throne of Heroes supplies him with the Corpse's name: Psaras. Emiya had heard about the God's fate but for it to be fight ALAYA caused him some concern but before he could question the God he hears a tied raspy voice echo throughout the void he is in.
"Em...iYA... yOu MAy... nOt BE oNe of... MINE... but yOu aRe... iN... MY DOMAIN... so... I shAll... he..lp LiGHtEn... yOuR BuR.. Den." Psaras's voice is raw and unstable but as he says 'MY DOMAIN' with Power in his voice the flames that constantly Burn his flesh are snuffed out for a moment and even the presence of ALAYA is banished for a few moments before the Flames reignite all around him and ALAYA's presence returns with it.
Emiya awakens in Chaldea's Medbay with Da Vinci instantly pestering him about what happened but all Emiya can think about is the Sword made out of blue flame that is now in his Reality Marble providing Emiya a comforting warmth.
Cora was worried when Lord Psaras stopped talking and his burnt out eyes seemed to be staring at something far away before Psaras seemed to smile grimly and sat up from his slouched position and concentrated for a few minutes before smiling smugly and completely suppress the Flame... for a minute then the Flame reignited and Psaras was back to normal. "WhY dOeS... hAppi...neSS BuRN...?" Psaras asks his favored mortal.
ALAYA is indignant over some uppity God named "Psaras" meddling with her Sword and forcing ALAYA to agree to something silly like "Giving my Sword a break" like ALAYA's Sword is some common bitch instead of ALAYA's favored Agent. As ALAYA thinks about Psaras it draws GAIA's attention to the God's situation and GAIA starts sharing Information about Psaras with ALAYA that is impossible for GAIA to have unless.... they interacted...
ALAYA looks at its counterpart who is still happily talking about Psaras and narrow's its many eyes at GAIA.
Psaras mastered the Flame more than any man alive. Anyway here is a small side story detailing Crispy!Psaras and ALAYA argueing over Emiya's working conditions and as Psaras holds the better position of "If you f*ck with me the last of this Timeline's Humanity is f*cked" Psaras helps atleast one Emiya because you know that ALAYA probably has a whole sh*tload of Shirou's that make deals with ALAYA to "Better save everyone!" all Crispy!Psaras did was give Emiya a bit of control over his own soul and a Sword that contains a little bit of his Essence to help Emiya out. The Swords main use is that it Purifies, which has alot of uses. Psaras burning like he is has granted him an understanding and control of Fire that rivals even the strongest of Fire God's and give Psaras time to recover he may be able to surpass them. Of course this ends with Psaras gaining a Fire Domain if this doesn't nothing would. All versions of Gaea like Psaras from Tiamat to even a Planet's Consciousness they all think Psaras is Neat! More seriously Psaras just has a unbelievable affinity for Nature Spirits as I have hinted about Spirits favoring him in the main story. I don't know how I like this addition so please tell me if you liked it or not.
